Study of harmonic crystal momentum autocorrelation and fluctuation functions

The mean-squared fluctuation of the momentum autocorrelation of a defect particle in a harmonic crystal was calculated. It was found that non-equilibrium fluctuations approach their equilibrium values faster than do the corresponding average correlations.
