Summary: | The density profiles of an associating fluid near a hard wall are studied by using a singlet level theory of inhomogeneous fluids. One-component hard sphere fluid with embedded sticky attractive site inside a hard core of particles is chosen as a model for the bulk fluid. Models with different bond length are investigated. The overlap of particles essentially influences the shape of the profiles. At low densities and strong association of the particles the depletion of the profiles at a wall surface is observed. |
