Description
Summary:NaY zeolite discs were used as supports for gold deposits forming a porous but electrical conductive thin film. The electrocatalytic properties of AuNaY zeolite electrodes were tested with the metallic film exposed to ethanol or ammonia vapours. The large active area of gold particles and the pumping of protons through the zeolite membrane allow an efficient oxidation of gaseous reactants and thus high current densities are obtained.
