Electrochemical behaviour of 1-methyl-2,4-dicyanopyridinium ion in dipolar aprotic solvents
The electrochemical reduction of 1-methyl-2,4-dicyanopyridinium cation to a relatively stable, reversible, radical (or anion) in aprotic solvent is described. The subsequent chemical reactions of the electro generated anion have been investigated.
