Description
Summary:This paper applies the logarithmic theory of plane elastic dislocation to two problems. One deals with a single logarithmic dislocation cut; the second is a dual-radial dislocation cut problem. In both cases, equations developed by the logarithmic theory are employed to solve the stress potential functions. Then the stresses at some pertinent points are obtained for both cases and compared with photoelastic experiments. In both cases, the analytical solutions agree very well with the experimental data.
