Excess volumes of n-butylamine+an aliphatic diketone at 303.15 K
Excess volumes of n-butylamine+butane-2,3-dione, +pentane-2,4-dione, and +hexane-2,5-dione were measured at 303.15 K. These mixtures have large negative values for V E with minima at 0.4 to 0.6 mole fraction of n-butylamine. These negative excess volumes are ascribed to strong hydrogen-bond interact...

Summary: | Excess volumes of
n-butylamine+butane-2,3-dione, +pentane-2,4-dione, and +hexane-2,5-dione were measured at 303.15 K. These mixtures have large negative values for
V
E with minima at 0.4 to 0.6 mole fraction of
n-butylamine. These negative excess volumes are ascribed to strong hydrogen-bond interaction between a diketone and the amine. |
