Summary:The phase-separation curve and the spinodal have been determined for 18 compositions by the results of measuring the temperature dependence of the scattered-light intensity in ( n-hexane + n-tetradecafluorohexane). The paper shows that the experimental results described by { (x′ − x″) x c } p ∼ { (T c − T p ) T c } β , and { (x′ − x″) x c } sp ∼ { (T c − T sp ) T c } β sp , are in accordance with scaling theory. It has been found that β = (0.35 ± 0.01) and β sp = (0.37 ± 0.03), in accordance with the results obtained by other authors.
