The excess enthalpies of (carbon dioxide + n-hexane + toluene) at 470.15 K and 7.50 and 12.50 MPa

The excess molar enthalpies H m E{ x 1CO 2 + x 2 n-C 6H 14 + (1 − x 1 − x 2)C 6H 5CH 3} were measured at 470.15 K and 7.50 and 12.50 MPa with an isothermal flow calorimeter. The ternary H m Es show trends with composition and pressure similar to trends in the { xCO 2 + (1 − x) n-C 6H 14} and { xCO 2...

Description
Summary:The excess molar enthalpies H m E{ x 1CO 2 + x 2 n-C 6H 14 + (1 − x 1 − x 2)C 6H 5CH 3} were measured at 470.15 K and 7.50 and 12.50 MPa with an isothermal flow calorimeter. The ternary H m Es show trends with composition and pressure similar to trends in the { xCO 2 + (1 − x) n-C 6H 14} and { xCO 2 + (1 − x)C 6H 5CH 3} binary systems. Toop's equation was found to provide accurate prodictions of ternary H m Es. The ratios between the standard deviation and the maximum absolute value of H m Es were found to be 4 per cent or less. Correlation methods were examined and a partial differential approximant was found to represent best the ternary contribution to H m E.
