Summary:A mathematical model describing the electrophoretic migration of strong electrolytes in the presence of a neutral complexing agent ( e.g., cyclodextrin) is formulated. The model allows computer simulation of the dynamics of the electrophoretic separation in general and the calculation of the isotachophoretic steady state. The approach for the determination of stability constants and mobilities of complex compounds from the experimental isotachophoretic data is described.
