Theory of chiral separation in capillary electrophoresis
The resolution of a pair of enantiomers in chiral capillary electrophoresis (CE) is described by the use of a simple model. The model shows the importance of maximising the electrophoretic mobility difference between the two enantiomers, and also the influence of electroosmotic mobility. The theory...

Summary: | The resolution of a pair of enantiomers in chiral capillary electrophoresis (CE) is described by the use of a simple model. The model shows the importance of maximising the electrophoretic mobility difference between the two enantiomers, and also the influence of electroosmotic mobility. The theory is supported by results obtained with ephedrine, atenolol and practolol. |
