Description
Summary:Supercritical fluid chromatography is an attractive alternative for chiral separations of compounds which are not readily analyzed by gas chromatography. It offers fast separations, high-efficiency, low-temperature analysis and access to a wide range of detectors including the “universal’ flame ionization detector. In this article the state of the art is reviewed. The technique is compared with other chromatographic techniques and the applicability of different chiral stationary phases as well as the choice of experimental conditions is discussed.
