Description
Summary:The thin (20–1300 nm) near-to-wall layers of benzene mono- and disubstitutes were investigated. The electron pattern procedure was used in the experiments. It was stated that the polymolecular layers near the surface of philic solid substrate (quartz in our case) had constituted the special liquid crystalline epitropic phase (ELC). The dependence of the order PE parameter and the thickness of the orientationally ordered layer of ELC on the peculiarities of molecule structure was discussed. The mechanism of epitropic phase organization was discussed too.
