Description
Summary:A numerical study is made of the equilibrium properties and thermal conductivity of one-dimensional lattices with various degrees of anharmonicity and coupling defects. The equilibrium energy flux autocorrelation function is determined, and its relationship to the coefficient of thermal conductivity is discussed. The coefficients of thermal conductivity, together with other nonequilibrium properties, are determined for several applied temperature gradients and lattice conditions.
