Description
Summary:The segregation coefficients of a wide range of cyclic hydrocarbons and their derivatives dispersed in single crystal cyclododecane have been determined. A general relationship cas been found between the molecular geometry of a dopant and its segragation coefficient and this is explained in terms of its “fit” in the host lattice. From this, a value of the molecular compressibility of cyclododecane has been determined.
