The maximum attainable undercooling and solubility in solutions of 1,4-di-t-butylbenzene
The solubility curves of 1,4-di-t-butylbenzene in a series of solvents were determined. The attainable undercooling was measured at cooling rates of 6–60° C/h in those solvents. The correlation between the solubility power of each solvent and the attainable undercooling for an organic compound may a...

Summary: | The solubility curves of 1,4-di-t-butylbenzene in a series of solvents were determined. The attainable undercooling was measured at cooling rates of 6–60° C/h in those solvents. The correlation between the solubility power of each solvent and the attainable undercooling for an organic compound may allow to predict the undercooling for that compound at a specified cooling rate when the solubility in that solvent is known. |
