Growth of LiYF4 crystals doped with holmium, erbium and thulium

Crystals of LiYF4 (YLF) doped with holmium, erbium, and thulium were successfully grown by the Czochralski technique. The synthesis, growth conditions, and pulsed-laser performance using a LiY0.555Er0.38Tm0.06Ho0.005F4 crystal, are presented.
