Description
Summary:Absorption, reflection, photoluminescence and magneto-absorption of MBE grown ZnSe heteroepitaxial layers and MQWs in ZnSySe1 − yZn1 − xCdx Se have been studied on etched from the substrate, deformation free, super-thin samples at T = 1.7 K and B ≤ 7.5 T. Analysis of oscillatory magneto-absorption spectra gives the possibility to establish a new set of ZnSe band parameters with a “bare” electron effective mass m∗c = 0.123 m0. Renormalization into a “polaron” set is necessary to describe exciton series. The combined use of these two sets permits us to obtain a good description of MQW excitonic spectra. The specific Fabry-Perot interference picture, characteristic for exciton-polariton phenomena, was observed in super-thin ZnSe samples.
