Red edge excitation study of cooperative double proton transfer in 7-azaindole

Temperature dependence of tautomeric and dimeric fluorescences of 7-azaindole in 3-methylpentane was investigated. Red edge excitation permitted to obtain initially only excited dimeric species. The results do not imply the necessity of invoking tunneling mechanism for the explanation of cooperative...

Description
Summary:Temperature dependence of tautomeric and dimeric fluorescences of 7-azaindole in 3-methylpentane was investigated. Red edge excitation permitted to obtain initially only excited dimeric species. The results do not imply the necessity of invoking tunneling mechanism for the explanation of cooperative double proton transfer in the excited state of 7-azaindole dimers.
