Valence states and luminescence of europium in BaFBr:Eu crystals
Eu 2+ and Eu 3+ contents in BaFBr:Eu phosphor were determined by ESR and photoluminescence. In addition to the transitions of Eu 2+ 4f←4f5d and Eu 3+ 4f←f 24, the excitation and emission of Eu 3+ CTS were found.
