Remote (inside-out) NMR. II. Sensitivity of NMR detection for external samples

Summary: | The sensitivity of the NMR experient to samples located exterior to the NMR coil is investigated. Eight annular samples were constructed from a series of concentric glass cups. The FID signal amplitudes measured for these samples were compared directly to the signal obtained from a standard reference. The results of these measurements are analyzed in terms of a simple model, which may be useful in extrapolating to other sample geometries. |
