Description
Summary:Application of 13 C NMR to the identification of association sites for polyfunctional compounds. Auto association of m and p substituted phenols (XC 6H 4OH) has been studied by 13 C NMR. For the various aromatic carbons, the slopes of dilution curves chemical shifts/concentration separate homofunctional associationsOH⋯OH and heterofunctional associationsOH⋯X between the OH group and the lone pairs of the X substituents.
