Summary:The molecular structure and conformational properties of 3-methyl-3-phenyl-cyclopropene have been studied by the gas electron diffraction method. The experimental data are in accordance with a bisected conformer having a C 3C Ar twist angle of 38° or with a conformational mixture constisting of 64% of the bisected conformer (θ(C 3C Ar) = 0°) and 36% of the perpendicular conformer (θ(C 3C Ar) = 90°).
