Summary: | Retinal derivatives have been studied in various environments by resonance Raman spectroscopy and electronic absorption.
Various interaction modes with proton donors and with proton acceptors were analyzed.
Strong resonance enhancement of light scattering is evidenced when protonated retinylidene-amine is bonded with phenolate anion. This could induce a possible chemical method to get better vision. |
