Spectra-kinetic investigation POLY(G) and DNA with luminescence probes: energy migration and changes of structure at low temperatures

The results are reported, which concern the energy migration in the Poly (G)-Tb 3+ complex. The upper limit for the jump rate is found to be 1.2 10 5 s −1. The comparison is made with theoretical models describing the energy migration in low-dimensional and isotropic systems. Using a luminescence pr...

Description
Summary:The results are reported, which concern the energy migration in the Poly (G)-Tb 3+ complex. The upper limit for the jump rate is found to be 1.2 10 5 s −1. The comparison is made with theoretical models describing the energy migration in low-dimensional and isotropic systems. Using a luminescence probe incorporated in DNA, the energy transfer and structural rearrangements in aqueous solution of DNA are studied in the temperature range 4.2 to 273 K.
