On the anomalous low-temperature behavior of vitreous silica when exposed to 4He
We have attempted to reproduce measurements which claim to demonstrate that vitreous silica at 4 K sorbs 4He, and that the sorbed 4He greatly increases the specific heat at temperatures below 3 K. We conclude that such an effect is not intrinsic to vitreous silica.
