glasses. The Raman spectra can be successfully explained using the structural model of a disordered network composed of AsS
3 pyramids interconnected via single (-S-) and partly double (-S-S-) sulfur bridges along the As
2S
3-AsI
3 join line and in the S-rich region, respectively. This structural matrix contains dissolved molecular species of AsI
3 characterized by the bands of 210, 90 and 70 cm
−1 and in the S-rich region also the S
8 species characterized by the bands of 150 and 475 cm
−1. |
