The bulk electron states spectroscopy by temperature-modulated space-charge-limited currents (TM-SCLC)
The new spectroscopical method for the determining the bulk density of states (DOS) in amorphous semiconductors is presented. The main idea of the method is the determination of the DOS function h(E) and corresponding energy E by two independent measurements, i.e. of current-voltage I(U) and activat...

Summary: | The new spectroscopical method for the determining the bulk density of states (DOS) in amorphous semiconductors is presented. The main idea of the method is the determination of the DOS function h(E) and corresponding energy E by two independent measurements, i.e. of current-voltage I(U) and activation energy-voltage E
a(U) characteristics measured in space-charge regime. Besides the theoretical background the ability of the method to reproduce model DOS is presented. As an example the method is applied for the study of the metastable changes induced by current soaking in ion assisted reactivity evaporated a-Si:H. |
