Summary:Simultaneous conduction and radiation in a two-dimensional absorbing, emitting and anisotropic scattering gray hollow and solid cylinder with gray surfaces is investigated. The radiation part of the problem is solved by the S 6 method and the finite difference method is used to solve the energy equation. The effects of various parameters on the temperature distribution and the heat flux are discussed.
