The alkali metal doping of semiconductors

The paper describes a method whereby small and accurately known amounts of alkali metals, completely free from oxide, can be used for the doping of semiconductors. This is done by introducing appropriate cations into the surrounding vacuum system by controlled electrolysis of a fused salt.
