Summary:An isothermal section of the quasiternary system ZnO-TiO 2-Nb 2O 5 at 1473 K is presented. Lattice parameters and phases on the quasibinary cut TiO 2-ZnNb 2O 6 are discussed. A new phase, ZnTiNb 2O 8 was found on this section. It has the structure of the α-PbO 2 related ixiolite with statistical distribution of the three metal atoms on the cation sites.
