Summary: | A highly efficient, easily prepared, and rapidly conditioned catalytic oxidant consisting of cobalt oxide and copper oxide has been developed for use with the Coleman Carbon-Hydrogen Analyzer. The silver gauze packing normally used has been lengthened to increase heat conductivity for the combustion gases and to provide high retention capacity for sulfur and halogen. This has provided a high output of samples and consistently high precision and accuracy for materials that are difficult to decompose. |
