Raman-resonant spontaneous four-wave parametric process in sodium vapor
A yellow cone radiation at ∼ 5894 Å and a strong radiation at 1.14 μm as well as 3S–4S stimulated electronic Raman scattering have been observed in sodium vapor excited by an UV dye laser. A Raman-resonant spontaneous four-wave parametric process is proposed and discussed.
