Summary:Oligobutadiene lithium (average degree of polymerization of 4) and its complexes with tetrahydrofuran of 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 composition were characterized by dielectric titration, conductometry and isothermal distillation. It was shown that the initial product and both complexes indicated in iso-octane at conventional temperature are tetramers. Dipole moments were calculated for all these substances and the order of magnitude of dissociation constant was established for a 1 : 2 complex.
