Summary: | When studying the structure of stable radicals formed during thermal decomposition of N-nitroso-diphenylamine (NDPA) stable radicals of two types were detected:
▪ position of N-nitroso-diphenylamine correlates with the concentration of nitric oxide radicals and exceeds the activity of the initial NDPA. The inhibiting effect of NDPA and products of decomposition involves the deactivation of radical reactions which take place in rubber as a consequence of the decomposition of hydroperoxides and rubber molecules at the weak bonds, the interaction of rubber with the accelerator, etc. The varying effect of NDPA in pre-vulcanization of rubber mixtures containing different accelerators of sulphur vulcanization was explained. |
