Cationic polymerization and copolymerization of organosilicon vinyl sulphides

The cationic polymerization and copolymerization of organosilicon vinyl sulphides has been investigated. It is shown that the reactivity of these monomers is dependent on the nature of the trialkylsilyl group and on its position in relation to the sulphur atom.
