The effect of an electric field on radiation-chemical polymerization of vinyl chloride in the gas phase

The results of an investigation of the rate of radiation polymerization of gaseous vinyl chloride in an electric field are reported. It was found that under identical conditions the polymerization rate falls by a factor of twenty when the field is applied.
