Summary: | A study has been made of the equilibrium distribution of macromolecules between sol and gel phases formed during limited dissolution of gel containing butadiene-nitrile rubbers in good solvents. The problem of how this distribution is influenced by the total amount of polymer in the system, and by the polymer structure and solvent quality is analysed. The equilibrium state of the system examined appears unrelated to any sort of specific steric interaction between gel and macromolecules. |
