Summary:The flexibility of methyl methacrylate-styrene statistical copolymer macromolecules has been determined by intrinsic viscosity and dynamic birefringence techniques. The dependence of the flexibility on the copolymer composition differs considerably from the theoretically predictable one. This evidences additional short range interaction in the copolymers, and the degree of this interaction increases with increasing numbers of hetero contacts in the copolymers.
