Summary: | A method is proposed for determining supermolecular structural parameters (dimensions and concentration) in dilute polymers solutions, which is based on the spectroscopic dependence of the intensity of light scattering at an angle of scattering of Δ. Typical functions for an NFM standard nephelometer (
Δ=45°) and formulae for calculating any Δ value are tabulated. The possibilities offered by the method are demonstrated by determining supermolecular structural parameters in dilute solutions of polyacrylamide samples over a wide range of polymer concentration. |
