Summary:A study was made of fibres prepared from mixtures of crystallizing polymers: polysulphonamide and polyimide. Large-angle X-ray photographs of fibres prepared from mixtures show separation into phases of homopolymers. Effective elasticity moduli of crystalline lattices E′ c were determined along the fibre axis using well-known methods. The E′ c value depends on the composition of the mixture, according to a model of parallel packing of polysulphonamide and polyimide crystallites.
