Summary:The special aspects of the kinetics of radical polymerization of MMA for high degrees of monomer conversion X are considered using the differential technique of treating the chromatograms. It is shown that during polymerization the reaction of chain transfer to the monomer plays an increased role. For X>0·9 it becomes determinant in the kinetic scheme of the processes. The influence of the conversion on the value k 0 0·5/ kp is studied and compared with the data described in the literature.
