Summary: | On the basis of a general approach to a system with fluctuations in concentration the author has obtained an expression for the thermodynamic potential of a heterogeneous solution of polymers using the earlier proposed method for calculating the Gibbs free energy. The expressions are more clearly defined for the intensity of scattered light (critical opalescence), the radii of inertia of the characteristic formations, the concentration of the binodal and the boundaries between phases. The relations obtained may be used not only at the critical point but also in the region both of homogeneous and heterogeneous compositions of the system. |
