Description
Summary:The process of the transition of macromolecules of isotactic polypropylene to the conformationally regular state on cooling the melt has been studied. The thermodynamic parameters of this process in the volume of the polymer and at the solid interface have been evaluated. It has been established that the solid surface without changing the mechanism of spiralization of the PP macromolecules reduces the free energy of the transition to the state of a regular helix. The results are used to explain the mechanism of heterogeneous nucleation.
