Summary: | Linear oligocaprolactone diols are separated in accordance with the number and type of hydroxyl end groups, in the critical region at the boundary of the exclusion and adsorption separation regimes. In this region there is only separation in accordance with the number and type of functional groups in the macromolecule. The chromatographic systems: Lichrospher silica gel Si-100, hexane-acetone binary solvent, and Sorbax-NH
2, and diethyl ether-acetone eluent are used. The oligomer molecules under study have end hydroxyl groups of different types, and differing in local environment. A universal rapid method of analysis which is independent the MMD of the specimens has been developed, which provides a means for quantitative determination of the proportion of the molecules having different numbers and types of functional groups. |
