Summary:The intensities of some IR absorption bands of diene rubbers are analysed as a function of temperature over the 30–90°C temperature range. It is shown that in the matrix of a flexible chain polymer a nematic mesophase is formed, the ordered formations of which consist of fragments of macro-chains having a preferred trans-conformation.
