Description
Summary:Accurate predictions of coal particle temperature rise rate under combustion/devolatilization requires precise information on a variety of morphological parameters under varying temperature conditions. In the present work, char samples were used that have been generated at varying reactor temperatures to simulate different extents of devolatilization. Extensive morphological characterization has been carried out to acquire precise and complete information on devolatilization behaviour of coal. A test case was developed to probe the combustion/devolatilization operation.
