Summary: | The simultaneous differential equations controlling the temperature of a plate heated by solar radiation, and the temperature of a fluid, which in turn is heated by the plate, are solved for the general case of time-dependent radiation. The special cases of uniform solar radiation, and linear time-dependent solar radiation are specified completely. A plot of plate temperature and fluid temperature versus time is shown for a typical case of heating with uniform solar radiation. |
