Summary: | Inelastic neutron scattering has been used to measure the phonon dispersion curves along the high symmetry directions of a single crystal of barium fluoride at room temperature. A simple shell model has been used to fit the data and derive values for elastic and dielectric constants which are compared to previous measurements.
Dans ce mémoire, nous présentons la relation de dispersion phononique telle que mesurée, à température ambiante, sur un monocrystal de fluorure de barium (BaF
2) et obtenue par diffusion neutronique inélastique dans les directions de grandes symetries. On a de plus utilisé un simple modéle en couches afin de paramétriser les données et de déduire les valeurs des constantes élastiques et diélectriques; enfin, on compare ces dernières aux résultats antérieurs. |
