Reaction-rate approach to impurity dipole reorientation in RbBr:Ag
The temperature dependence of optical relaxation time of impurity dipoles (Ag + in RbBr) is calculated using the quantum-mechanical theory of reaction rates in condensed media. A good agreement between theory and experiment is found.
