Summary:The optical properties of amorphous samples of Ge-Sb-Se have been measured in the region of the absorption edge and the variation of the energy gap with composition is discussed. Far infrared absorption and reflection spectra are presented for some typical samples and the values of optical parameters calculated. The temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity has been measured and is compared with published data.
